Trombone was the first instrument I learned, and it will always be an integral part of my life and love for music. It is surely one of the most powerful, beautiful, and versatile wind instruments!

The guitar is a magical instrument and one that constantly inspires me and brings me joy. Harmonic, melodic, rhythmic, and dynamic, the guitar is limitless and near impossible to put down!

Qualifications
I have spent many hours training to be the best musician and educator I can be. Read below for more details about my education and experience.
Bachelor of Music Education
I earned my BME from the University of Colorado Boulder, surrounded some of the finest instructors and classmates one could hope for. Learning from master educators prepared for a teaching career of my own.
K-12 Teaching Certification
From California to China, I have worked with a wide variety of students and musicians both young and old, serious to silly, and from all regions of the world.
Bachelor of Music Performance – Trombone
I also studied trombone at CU to a high level of performance in jazz, orchestra, solo, band, electronic music, composition, and more. Being surrounded by so many professional trombonists elevated our appreciation and skill, and learning from some of the best musicians in the world was a truly special experience.
Performances, Productions, and People
I’ve instructed one of the best marching bands in California, ethnic music from a variety of cultures in international schools, private students on every instrument, hundreds of guitar and piano students, small and large choirs, orchestras, musical theater productions, AP and GCSE Music Theory, general classroom music, rock bands, ukulele, Garage Band and other DAW’s, and more!

Reviews
Here a some comments from former students and parents.
I just wanna say thank you for being an awesome teacher. Guitar class is definitely one of my favorite classes, but not so much for playing guitars(even though that’s pretty great), or the other students in the class, but for having you as a teacher.
Former Student
Thank you for such a fun year in choir and a great guitar class. I never thought I would be able to sing or play like I do now. You’ve been such an amazing teacher…

While there are many attributes Mr. Jackson possesses that are admirable, it is Mason’s ability to find ways of helping our students be successful in whatever endeavor that motivates them which makes him special.
